Swain taking trips

One of the top Midlands LBs was on the road to check out a Big Ten school this weekend. Swain says that there could be some more visits scheduled either this spring or later this summer.

Lee's Summit (Mo.) linebacker Jimmie Swain was on the road this weekend. Swain was in the car on the nine hour, one-way trip coming home from this Big Ten school.

"I am in the car right now coming back from Northwestern," Swain said. "It was really nice. It was a very informative visit. They have a good program with a lot of potential to be a great program."

Swain says that there are a number of schools that come through to see him every week. The 6-foot-3 and 212-pound linebacker says that there are a couple of opportunities for teams to really eyeball him during the day.

"The evaluation period has been going good. Michigan State, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas State were all at my school last week. The coaches can see me in the morning before school when I receiver treatment or during school when I am working out."

There is some thought doing into future visit plans for Swain, but there isn't anything set up at this moment. Swain says that a family member has been helping him out when it comes to scheduling and making visits.

"Most of the coaches that I have spoke to want me to try and visit this summer. My brother is taking care of all of the scheduling when it comes to my visits and making sure that I can take a trip.

"As of right now I don't have any plans to take anymore trips this spring and I don't have any plans set up for this summer yet. We are working on pulling together all of the places it would be beneficial for me to see and getting some dates set up."
