Darlington talks visits

Zack Darlington and Apopka (Flor.) have two weeks left of spring practices and just three weeks left of school. After that, the month of June will include a lot of traveling for Darlington.

Zack Darlington from Apopka (Flor.) is going to be making some trips soon. The 6-foot-2 and 205-pound Darlington says that the first trip he has planned once school gets out is to head to see Nebraska.

"Yes sir I have some trips coming up," Darlington said. "We get out of school on June 5th and we are planning on going to visit Nebraska on the 6th."

Right after Nebraska Darlington and his Apopka teammates are going to take a mission. This is something that Darlington is very grateful to be able to do with his father, who is also his coach, and his team.

"On the 8th we are going to go on a team mission until the 14th. We are going to go to the Bahamas for our mission.

"Our team chaplain has set everything up for us. I have always wanted to do mission work with my father and my team. We are very blessed to be able to do this."

Immediately after the mission Darlington will be traveling again this time to another Big Ten school. Darlington will be headed to Ohio State for camp.

"On the 18th and 19th of June I will be heading to Ohio State. The plans at Ohio State are for camp. I would like to take more visits, but those are the two schools that we have planned right now."

Apopka is coming off of a state title season and have a couple weeks left of spring practices. They just had their scrimmage this past Friday and have a game with another school in a couple of weeks.

"We just had out Blue/White game on Friday. We play Winterhaven on the 31st for our scrimmage game. I think that we have had a very productive spring.

"I think that we are bringing a lot back on defense. Having that experience from a state title team a year ago is huge.

"I also feel like everyone has been working hard getting bigger, stronger and faster. We have some holes on our offensive line and we are working hard to replace some guys there."
