James to visit Nebraska

Big Red Weekend has become a big weekend on the recruiting calendar for Nebraska luring top players from all over the country to Lincoln for a visit. This Florida running back says that he will visit Nebraska that weekend as well.

Tony James from Gainesville (Flor.) recently released a top five which included Oregon, Florida, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Ohio State. James is taking advantage of a recruiting weekend in June to check out one of his top five schools for an unofficial visit.

"I am going to visit Nebraska on June 15th," James said in a text message. "I want to check out the campus and see what type of of offense they run. I want to know how they plan to use me.

"I want to just see how the coaches interact with their players. I also want to learn more about the business and finance program."

James is a 5-foot-9 and 172-pound running back who as a junior ran for 1,130 yards on 111 rushing attempts, averaging over nine yards per attempt, and scored eight touchdowns. James is rated a three-star prospect and is the No. 41 running back in the nation according to Scout.com.
