Edwards talks about upcoming visit

The cornerback position is critical in the 2014 class for Nebraska with the Huskers losing, arguably their top four cornerbacks to graduation this year. This Ohio cornerback will be in Lincoln next weekend to check out Nebraska.

Mike Edwards from Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton-Woods is a 5-foot-11 and 175-pound cornerback who really fits the Nebraska style at that position. He plays big and physical and is as good in coverage as he is getting off blocks, coming downhill to support the run.

The Nebraska staff has a lot of ties to the state of Ohio and have used those ties to their advantage under Bo Pelini. Edwards responded through text messages that he's headed to visit Nebraska.

"Yes sir," Edwards replied over text message. "I am going to be visiting Nebraska next weekend."

Edwards says that he's going up to Nebraska not for camp necessarily, but for a junior day that is invitation only. Nebraska will likely take multiple cornerbacks in this class and Edwards really fits the style of cornerbacks that Nebraska desires.

"It's not for camp. I am going there just for Big Red Weekend."
