Lamin releases top eight

Did Nebraska make the cut in Abu Lamin's top eight?

A day after Nebraska fans learned junior college defensive tackle Abu Lamin wouldn't be making it Big Red Weekend, the Fort Scott product released a top eight.

This time there was good news for Husker fans.

Lamin announced on his Twitter page that Arizona State, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Nebraska were in his top eight.

"Can't let this recruiting stuff slow me down i have to stay focused on the prize and that's being an All American," Lamin tweeted.

Instead of making the Huskers' BRW, the 6-foot-5, 315 pound prospect is taking an official visit to Florida.

"Sorry Nebraska fans hopefully they can get me up there on a official visit during the season! #BlackShirt," Lamin also said on Twitter.
