London set to see Nebraska

Nebraska had a successful Big Red Weekend, but the staff has moved on to trying to secure official visits for the fall now. This running back has already set up a trip to check out Lincoln in September.

Fort Lauderdale (Flor.) St. Thomas Aquinas running Mardre London is staying busy this summer. The 6-foot-1 and 200-pound running back is working hard this summer for his senior season.

"I am just working out," London said. "I am working on my feet, my explosiveness and my blocking. I am trying to be that running back that doesn't have to come off the field in passing downs and get batter in pass protection."

London is planning some trips this summer, including a visit to South Florida on Friday followed by Miami on Sunday and upcoming visits to Mississippi State and Florida State. He says that he's not in a hurry to make a decision.

"I am just waiting on sorting things out. I am not going to make a decision anytime soon. I want to see the campuses of these schools, feel the atmosphere and take my official visits. I plan to take my official visits during the season and commit right before my playoffs."

There are a number of schools that London is considering for an official visit, but he already has one official visit set up. London is set to see Nebraska in early September while Aquinas is on a bye.

"I am taking an official visit to Nebraska," London said. "I am looking forward to that. It's already set. I am going to visit Lincoln on September 7th. That is my bye week so it works out great.

"I am looking forward to seeing an electric crowd there at Nebraska. I want to see how I am treated there, really look to see if I fit in, and I want to check out the family atmosphere between the coaches and the players."
