Jelks plans to visit Nebraksa

Arizona defensive lineman Jalen Jelks says he will visit Nebraska after his senior season.

At 6-foot-7, 250-pounds, some teams want Desert Vista high school (AZ) 2014 prospect Jalen Jelks as a defensive end. Others as a defensive tackle.

Nebraska just wants the Arizona product.

It started with a visit from Nebraska assistant coach Ron Brown early in the spring, and as the evaluation period was coming to an end, defensive line coach Rick Kaczenski came out to watch a practice as well – offering a scholarship in the process.

"I'm going to visit there after the spring," said Jelks on Nebraska. "I want to really visit everywhere. They have told me that I have all the aspects needed to fit in there."

A three-star prospect, Jelks is currently rated the No. 26 defensive end in the country by FOX Sports NEXT.

"I pretty much have every team that's offered me in high consideration," said the soon to be senior. "I just want to visit and see what each team is all about."

Jelks has a handful of offers, including Arizona State, Boise State, Tennessee, Oregon, and Wisconsin.
