Harrison focused this summer

Monte Harrison is one of the top, two-sport athletes in the nation. The 6-foot-2 and 190-pound Harrison is a standout receiver as well as a top baseball prospect. One sport is getting all of his time right now.

Monte Harrison is busy this summer. The top rated wide receiver from Lee's Summit (Mo.) West is not doing a lot with football right now though. Instead it's another sport that has the 6-foot-2 and 190-pound Harrison's attention.

"I have been playing a lot of baseball," Harrison said. "I would say that some weekends I play seven to nine games and I probably play 100 games this summer. I literally have no time to train (for football)."

All of the games and the preparation are not allowing time for a lot of other things this summer. Harrison admits that recruiting has taken a back seat and that it might get more of his attention in about a month.

"I have no time for trips or anything like that. In the beginning of August I will get back to doing some recruiting related things. As a team we have started to do conditioning already."

There are a number of schools that will be waiting to host Harrison again with one of those schools being Nebraska. Harrison has already been to Nebraska a number of times before and says that the next time he makes it to Lincoln would likely for for a game as an unofficial visitor.

"I am not sure right now when I will take another visit to Nebraska," Harrison said. "I haven't thought about taking any visits at the moment. When I go back to Lincoln it will probably be an unofficial visit at the start of the season."
