BRR Filmroom: D.J. Foster

BRR predicted a D.J. Foster commitment to Nebraska, but even according to Foster he didn't think that he would do so quickly. Foster has held a Nebraska offer since last summer and shows why on his film.

Nebraska fans are ready for the offensive line to get a little nasty again. D.J. Foster from Lincoln (Nebr.) Southeast is nasty. Foster is a physical specimen at 6-foot-3 and 300+-pounds who demonstrates quick feet as well as great hand placement.

Foster shows solid fundamentals to go along with this size and quickness giving Southeast a real anchor on their offensive line as well as solid prospect for Nebraska to look forward to. Foster has the ability to eat up the inside as well as pull and get to the second level defender.

If you watch the film on Foster there may only be one thing that concerns you. That is motor. Foster has a large advantage of size and strength in Class A ball in Nebraska and typically when he takes care of his first block can not be seen finding another defender to block. It's a peeve more than a knock on Foster's ability.

Foster chose Nebraska over offers from Florida, Georgia, UCLA, Wake Forest, Missouri and others. Foster is currently listed as a three-star prospect according to and the No. 14 offensive guard in the nation.
