Stewart commits to Nebraska

The Nebraska class lost one a day after receiving two commitments only to gain one later in the day. Lorenzo Stewart from Spring (Texas) Klein Oak is commitment No. 11 for Nebraska's class of 2014.

Multiple sources including Twitter are reporting that 5-foot-7 and 168-pound running Lorenzo Stewart has committed to Nebraska. Stewart chose Nebraska over offers from Baylor, Houston and Louisiana Tech.

Nebraska is adding more speed to an offense that already has an abundance of it. Stewart has 4.36/40 speed and played mostly slot receiver for Spring (Texas) Klein Oak last year according to a previous interview.

"I played a lot of slot receiver last season I had the second most receiving yards on the team, but most (college) coaches want me as a running back," Stewart said. "The coaches I have talked to like my speed."

Stewart was unavailable for comment on Friday night, but will get in touch with the latest Husker and bring you his comments on becoming a Cornhusker.
