Report: Carlos Hyde out:
According to the Columbus Dispatch, Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde has been dismissed from the team after an incident over the weekend. Hyde is a person of interest by police in an assault.
Hyde was a workhorse for the Ohio State offense down the stretch last season. In the Buckeyes last three games, he recorded nearly 20 carries a game and racked up almost a 125 yards a contest. With more focus put on Braxton Miller by defenses, Hyde was expected to be a big play-maker this fall.
A member of the Doak Walker Watch List, Hyde was expected to contend for All-First team Big Ten honors this season.
