"That was my first game in Lincoln," Farmer said. "It's amazing. You can't really describe what it's like to experience it. Everything was great. The fans were so into it. The stadium was completely filled."
The Huskers first game was in question all the way up to and including the final play. Farmer says that Nebraska is just like any other team when it comes to first games of the season.
"I look at it like it was the first game of the season, there is a little bit of rust, and you are not always at the top of your game anyway. I know that they will bounce back and improve."
Farmer had a chance to talk with the newest commit, Peyton Newell, who just announced his commitment on Friday. Farmer and Newell got to know each other at the NFTC in Chicago this summer.
"I had a chance to talk with Peyton. We talked about visits and just talked about football. We are excited about this class, improving as player and doing the best that we can when we get to Lincoln."
There aren't any set plans for Farmer to get back to Lincoln this fall for any other unofficial visits. But, he knows that he definitely would like to.
"I am hoping to make it to more home games," Farmer said. "I just don't know yet. It all just comes down to planning because it's about a seven hour drive."
