Walker enjoys visit to Nebraska

Nebraska official visitor Ricky Walker weighs in on his weekend in Lincoln. What were the things that stood out to him on the visit and what would he rate the overall trip?

Ricky Walker from Hampton (Va.) Bethel is a versatile defensive lineman. The 6-foot-2 and 275-pound Walker made his way to Lincoln this weekend for an official visit.

"The visit went really well," Walker said. "I enjoyed myself and learned a lot about Nebraska."

Walker was impressed with the trip. There were definitely some things that stood out to him the most while he was in Lincoln this weekend.

"The facilities at Nebraska are great! The fans were crazy at the game, cheering my name and stuff, when we went out onto the field.

"The academics are important there at Nebraska and they have proven that. The coaches at Nebraska would really love to have me and I would come in and play immediately at either the three or the five."

The visit got a high mark from Walker, not a perfect mark though, and said that the fans made the visit special this weekend.

"I would rate the visit an "8". The best experience about the weekend was walking out of the tunnel and the fans going crazy. They were yelling my name and giving me high fives. Nothing could have been better about the trip."
