Huskers to get an official visit

The Huskers are lining up a big, junior college weekend for the first weekend in November. This junior college defensive tackle has confirmed that he will be in Lincoln that weekend.

Claude Pelon from Mesa (Ariz.) C.C. is one of the most highly sought after junior college players in the country. His team is five games into the season, but he's had to miss a game because of a transfer rule.

"We have played five games already," Pelon said. "I missed a game because I had to sit out. There is a transfer rule about changing schools in the same district.

"The season is going good though. I am just trying to stay healthy and working hard on the field and in the classroom. I will be done with school in December."

The four-star prospect has a number of offers and a lot of opportunities to take official visits. He has three official visits set up with the first one coming in a couple of weeks.

"I have three set up already. I am going to Washington for the Oregon game on October 11, Nebraska for the Northwestern game on November 1 and then I am going to Miami on December 14th."

Nebraska has been in consistent contact with Pelon. Pelon is looking forward to getting a closer look at what Huskers have to offer after hearing about it from the Nebraska staff.

"I have been in regular communication with the coaches from Nebraska. I have been talking to Coach Rick Kaczenski and Coach John Papuchis from Nebraska a lot.

"I would say that I have a good relationship with Nebraska's staff. I like what they have going on there, love the scheme and it's a great fit. I am ready for the visit."
