The Huskers are appealing to Wren for a number of reasons. It's a great combination for him when it comes to both academics and athletics as well as having a great environment.
"My mom and I both like Nebraska because of their academics, their football program and just because it's a big-time environment. That is big for me."
The No. 59 rated defensive end in the country says that he talks to Nebraska weekly as well as receives a lot of mail from the staff. Wren says that he has a good relationship with the coaching staff as a result.
"I also get a lot of mail from Nebraska every week. When we talk and in their mail they tell me about their academics, about their team, about the game that week and about the players."
Wren saw Nebraska on the road this weekend and was impressed with their defense. He says that Nebraska has been playing a lot of young players, particularly on defense, and he wants to play early in college.
"I saw Nebraska on T.V. this past weekend against Purdue. Their defense is young and the coaches from Nebraska said that they don't just play the older players.
"They told me that they are going to play the players that give them the best chance to win. I am looking for early playing time and Nebraska will play their younger players."
The three star defensive end has long since said that he will wait until after his season wraps up to make visits. He's looking at a trip to Nebraska in the next couple of months possibly.
"I am going to start looking to set up an official visit Nebraska soon. I am looking to visit either in November or December after my season is over with."
