.) Alabama – Playing Kentucky over the weekend was nothing but a chance for the backups to get some work. The defending champions haven't done a thing to prove they don't belong at No. 1, including a win over the Aggies.
.) Florida State – The Seminoles had the week off as they prepare for a big game with the No. 4 Tigers this weekend.
.) Ohio State – The Buckeyes moved up in the polls because they didn't play anybody. It's amazing what a bye can do.
.) LSU – The Tigers put together a great defensive performance, holding UF to just six points. They move up three spots and still control their destiny.
.) Texas A&M – The Aggies struggled in Oxford, but ultimately came away with a road victory in the SEC. They are the highest ranked one loss team after losing to Alabama.
.) South Carolina – Some thought Arkansas's offense might be able to move on SC, turned out it wasn't the case. The Gamecocks won big.
.) Miami – The Hurricanes had the week off, but move up a few spots as more teams around them keep falling for the first time.
13. ) Baylor – The Bears didn't score 70, but they got a road win in Manhatten. They won't play a ranked team for another three weeks.
.) Missouri – The Tigers are this week's biggest climbers, dropping the Bulldogs in Athens. Their defense has been better than expected, but will their offense be able to score on the Gator's defense this week?
.) Georgia – The Bulldogs have two losses, but their schedule has been tough, playing four ranked teams in six weeks and on the road against Tenneessee.
.) Nebraska – The defense is improving and the offense is moving the ball without quarterback Taylor Martinez. Their one loss was to a top ten ranked in UCLA.
.) Auburn – The Tigers only loss was to a top ten ranked LSU.
.) Florida – Two losses have Florida barley in the Top 20, but they were to top ten squads.
.) Texas Tech - Kliff Kingsbury has the offense moving once again, but as always, defense is the question mark in Lubbock.
.) Washington – They played Stanford tough, actually they beat them in a lot of categories, but ultimately lost. And they didn't have the firepower against Oregon.
.) Oklahoma State - I don't get the warm fuzzies about their offense and they lost to West Virgina, who got drilled by Baylor. Yes, I played that game.
.) Virginia Tech – Their only loss was to Bama and really haven't played anybody besides that, but appear to have a solid defense.
.) Michigan – The Wolverines are great at home, but another road loss in the Brady Hoke fan has the Wolverines message boards on fire.
Just outside my top 25:
Fresno State, Northwestern, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, and Michigan State.
