Brown wants to feel like part of team

Nebraska commitment Drew Brown has been to Lincoln a number of times before in the past. He hopes that this weekend provides some unique opportunities and allows him to feel what it's like to be a Husker.

Drew Brown might have been a little bit destined to be a Husker. Brother of former Husker kicker Kris Brown, Drew is his own man and is having a great senior season at Southlake (Texas) Carroll.

"We are doing well," Brown said. "We are 7-1 and I am 5-for-8 on field goals, 62-for-63 on PATs and I have a touch back percentage of 75%."

Nebraska has had some inconsistencies at the kicking spot and Brown has seen some of them. He says that he knows that he will get a chance to win the spot and he looks forward to the competition.

"I am excited for the opportunity that is in front of me. I will come up to Lincoln and compete with the other guys up there and fight for a spot on the field."

Brown has been up to Lincoln a number of times before, but there is some hope to do some things this time that he's never done before. Ultimately, he really wants to feel a little bit of what it's like to be a Husker.

"I hope to experience a few new things on my official visit that I haven't done before. I want to get to know what it feels like to be a Husker!"
