"I got in on Saturday around noon or so," Walton said. "I had a little time to eat then right out to the game. I missed all of the pre-game and the tunnel walk. I only got to see the game."
Walton saw a terrific ending but to him he said that there was something about the defense. It was something that he couldn't describe then and still can't. He says that it would be better if he knew what the defense was trying to do that day.
"The game was O.K. The Hail Mary was exciting to see. I can't really put my finger on the defense. It's different sitting in the stands not knowing what they are doing. I really need to play it to understand it better."
After not getting a great chance to do a lot on Saturday beyond the game the day on Sunday was pretty full for Walton. He says that he got to meet all of the coaches, tour the academic center and saw the other facilities.
"I got a chance to talk with Head Coach Bo Pelini and the rest of the assistant coaches on Sunday. I got to take a tour of the academic center and saw the weight room. I did see the locker room on Saturday after the game and Ndamukong Suh was there."
The Nebraska staff and Walton are still developing a working relationship. According to Walton he just started talking to his recruiting coach, but says that he's a good guy and can relate because his coach is from Louisiana.
"Coach Terry Joseph is the coach recruiting me from Nebraska. We just started talking so we don't have a great relationship yet. He seems like a pretty good guy. I know that he's from Louisiana."
Walton gives the Nebraska visit a high rating, but not a perfect rating. One of the best things for him on the weekend was getting a chance to see his cousin who plays for the Huskers.
"I would rate the visit an "8". The best part of it was getting a chance to see my cousin Cethan Carter. One thing that could have been better is the defense allowed too many points."
Walton visited Nebraska after he had committed to Louisiana at the end of July. He still considers himself committed, but also considering. "I am still solid to U-L as of right now," Walton said. "I do have interest in Nebraska though."
