Taking official visit to Nebraska

Nebraska had offered this junior college defensive lineman one day and he committed just a few days later to another Big Ten program. Why the visit and what is he looking forward to seeing in Lincoln?

Nebraska is looking for some junior college help on the defensive line and are talking still with Wisconsin commitment Joe Keels. Keels from Highland (Kans.) says that he will visit Nebraska on November 16th.

"I just want to be sure about some things," Keels said. "Coach Rick Kaczenski and I have been talking basically since I got here to Highland.

"I am also a two year guy. I only have two years so I need to make an impact early and Nebraska's defense is young."

One of the reasons the defense is promising has to do with the addition of another junior college defensive lineman last year. Keels admits that this player is another reason why he's fired up about a Nebraska visit as well as the facilities.

"I would say that another reason is Randy Gregory. Him off the edge and I on the defensive line we could be a great combination and create a lot of problems for offensive lines.

"I also want to see the facilities at Nebraska. I keep hearing about them from everyone. Coach Ross Els was just telling me about them too so I am looking forward to seeing them."
