We're just over a day away from National Signing Day for basketball, so I wanted to provide a quick update on Indiana's three commits and what their plans are for this week.
***Robert Johnson, a 6-foot-3 guard from Virginia, plans to sign his Letter of Intent on Wednesday, according to his father. Johnson was on campus over the weekend for the Hoosiers' first regular season game against Chicago State on Friday and the IU football game against Illinois on Saturday.
***James Blackmon Jr., a 6-foot-2 guard from Marion, Ind., doesn't yet know when he will sign. He said he's trying to schedule his signing around his mom's work schedule, so he'll likely sign sometime after the Wednesday Signing Day. It's still up in the air for Blackmon Jr. at this point.
***Max Hoetzel, a 6-foot-7 forward from Wilbraham and Monson Academy in Massachusetts, told me today he plans to sign on Thursday instead of Wednesday. Hoetzel wasn't sure of the reason for it but was told by his high school coach that was now the plan.
So there's your update on that for now. We'll have more coverage of Signing Day on Wednesday.
