Slade knows what to look for

Nebraska has another good opportunity next week to bring in some recruits the Friday after Thanksgiving. This hybrid defensive end says that he's headed to Nebraska to really see what it's like in the Midwest.

Darius Slade, a 6-foot-4 and 230-pound hybrid defensive end from Montclair (N.J.) will be his third official visit next weekend.

"I am making my visit to Nebraska next weekend," Slade said. "I am looking forward to the trip. I am going to go to Nebraska looking for the same things that I am looking at for all of the schools.

"Being from New Jersey I really want to get a feel for the school, the campus and the area. I also want to get to know some of the players and get to meet the coaches."

Slade has been hearing the most from two defensive staff members from Nebraska; the defensive coordinator and the defensive line coach. He says that both are great recruiters and seem very down to Earth.

"Two of the Nebraska coaches have been recruiting me. It's been Coach J.P. (John Papuchis) and Coach K (Rick Kaczenski). They both seem like down to Earth guys and are great recruiters."
