Planning to visit Nebraska

This talented defensive end has yet to take an official visit, but the time is coming soon. He is looking at a possible official visit to Nebraska and says that he will be setting that on up really soon.

Chris Slayton from Crete (Ill.) Crete-Monee is a three-star defensive end according to and he's getting ready to start setting up and taking his official visits. One school that was rumored to be in the thick of it for Slayton is Nebraska which he quickly confirmed.

"Yes it is, I have to set one (visit to Nebraska) up soon," Slayton said.

The Nebraska staff are definitely adding depth to a defensive line that started out the season inexperienced, but have started to gel as the season as gone along. Slayton says that on the visit to Nebraska he is looking at some specific things.

"I look forward to meeting their coaching staff, meet some of the players to see how much they feel about their team and how they feel about the program."

The Nebraska staff has been doing a good job recruiting Slayton showing him a lot of interest. The 6-foot-5 and 230-pound Slayton says he and the defensive line coach from Nebraska could be developing a strong relationship.

"Coach Rick Kaczenski is recruiting me. He seems like a cool coach and I definitely feel like we could build a good relationship."

Besides Nebraska Slayton is looking to set up a couple of other trips as well. "I'm setting up other visits with Syracuse and Illinois."
