After watching UNC beat conference rival Boston College about a month ago, Brickhouse saw the Tar Heels dismantle ODU, 80-20.
"I think they have a good team and they have a good DB coach and decent coordinator," Brickhouse said.
Brickhouse, who was accompanied by teammate Chris Hunt and a Bayside coach, didn't speak to any of UNC's coaches during Saturday's visit, but he did spent time with Jordan while visiting for the Boston College game. Also, Brickhouse and Jordan have kept in regular contact throughout the football season.
"He just talked to me about how they keep hearing my name and how hard I work," Brickhouse said. "He is just saying positive things."
UNC has yet to offer Brickhouse.
"They want me to keep keeping in touch and keep working hard so they can give me an offer," Brickhouse said. "I sent them my film, but I don't think they watched it yet because I know they had a game and I just sent it like [Friday]."
Brickhouse's film shows his All-Beach District second team performance from this past season, highlighted with five interceptions.
"I probably got caught on two times the whole season," Brickhouse said.
James Madison, Old Dominion, Virginia, and Wisconsin have offered Brickhouse. He's also hearing from Florida State, Illinois, Indiana, NC State, and Penn State.
Virginia, which Brickhouse has also visited twice this season, has found a lot of success recruiting the Tidewater Area. In particular, it has developed somewhat of a pipeline to Bayside High School. The Cavaliers' roster includes four Bayside alumni and a fifth, Quin Blanding, is committed there.
"They're nice coaches and nice players up there, but I don't feel pressure to go there," Brickhouse said. "I don't really know how that's going to affect me."
In fact, Brickhouse doesn't claim any favorite schools.
"I really don't have any schools sticking out to me," Brickhouse said. "My options are open right now."
With that said, Brickhouse has nothing but positive feelings towards UNC.
"I don't really have anything negative to say about [UNC] – I really like everything about them," Brickhouse said. "I like the coaches and the campus."
Brickhouse's future schedule is completely clear. However, he does hope to visit Florida State and Wisconsin at some point. He had plans to visit Wisconsin, but his playoff schedule forced him to put them on hold.
