Danzel McDaniel is a 6-foot-2 and 205-pound defensive back from Dodge City (Kans.) C.C. Nebraska recently picked up a commitment from his teammate, Terrell Clinkscales, and now the Huskers seem very close to offering McDaniel.
This Sunday Nebraska nabbed a significant member of the 2014 class when Terrell Clinkscales jumped in. The defensive tackle from Dodge City (Kans.) C.C. has a teammate that Nebraska then seemed to turn their attention to, Danzel McDaniel.
"Yes sir Nebraska was by here to see me (on Tuesday)," McDaniel said. "They said that an offer could be coming soon. I graduate in December and that's one reason."
Sometimes players know each other, but aren't close. That couldn't be further from the truth for McDaniel and Clinkscales. Both are from the same are before coming to Dodge City and both took the same official visits up until Terrell visited Nebraska last weekend.
"Yes sir I know Terrell. We are not only from Dodge City, but we are also both from Chicago. I took my two official visits with Terrell to Kansas State and to Iowa State."
The offer from Nebraska could be around the corner for McDaniel. Danzel wouldn't speculate on taking a visit to Nebraska until the Huskers came through with an offer.
"If I get the Nebraska offer I would likely take an official visit to Nebraska very soon. I have over 20 offers or so, but I am waiting until I actually get the offer from them."
