Lauderdale set to check out Nebraska

Four-star JUCO wide receiver Eric Lauderdale is set to make an official visit to Nebraska this weekend after visiting Florida last weekend. Lauderdale says that he really respects the approach that Nebraska is taking with him.

Mission Viejo (Calif.) Saddleback C.C. wide receiver Eric Lauderdale is headed out to see Nebraska this weekend. The 6-foot-2 and 200-pound wide receiver is really developing a solid relationship with his recruiting coach from Nebraska.

"I am going to visit Nebraska this weekend," Lauderdale said. "Coach Rick Fisher is my recruiting coach from Nebraska and he's the wide receivers coach there as well.

"I talk to him on the phone quite a but. We have always stayed in touch. He was at my school today. He really seems genuine and honest with me. He told me if I come to Nebraska he guaranteed and opportunity to earn a spot. I appreciate that more than being promised anything."

Lauderdale is fresh off a visit to check out a SEC school. He says that he's just excited about the visit as a whole to Nebraska because he knows that it's a great football program.

"I just want to go to Nebraska and check everything out. I went to Florida last weekend for an official visit. I know that Nebraska is a good program and I just want to take this trip to see everything."

Lauderdale would sign in February and has three years to play two.
