"Our season ended with a first round loss, 41-42," Ballage said. "It was tough. I am lifting already and getting ready for track. I do the 100m, 200m, 4x100m and 4x200m. My personal best 100m is 10.64."
Although football on the field is over, recruiting isn't. In fact, it's really heating up. The in-home visits have started and Ballage has hosted a few teams already.
"He's really just a great guy. I really love how he talks about things, doesn't beat around the bush, and tells it how it is. He's a straight-shooter, but you can see yourself having fun playing for him."
The Huskers had been recruiting Ballage as an athlete. However, the Nebraska staff told him that they do like him at a single position now which happens to be the spot that he wants to play in college.
"Nebraska definitely wants me as a running back and that's great. I want to play running back in college."
Nebraska will get a chance to host Ballage this weekend as he takes his first official visit to Lincoln. Ballage was supposed to visit for Big Red Weekend, but had to cancel due to wildfires in Colorado.
"I am going to Nebraska this weekend. This will be my first official visit overall and my first trip to Nebraska. I was supposed to visit Lincoln this summer, but had to cancel.
"I have heard so many great things about their facilities so I want to see those. I really want to see their weight room and see what they have to offer."
Ballage said that he also has official visit plans to see Washington and Arizona State in January, but wasn't sure what the dates were on those visits.
