Megginson Adds Huskers Offer

Early four-star Jacksonville (Ill.) junior offensive lineman Gabe Megginson added an offer from Nebraska and talks about it inside.

Another offer is in for 6-foot-5, 290 pound offensive lineman Gabe Megginson of Jacksonville (Ill.), who already had offers from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin. Thursday evening he added an offer from Nebraska.

And what does Megginson think about the Huskers?

"I like how successful they are consistently," Megginson said. "And they have good recruiters and have a lot of tradition there."

Plus, Megginson is enjoying getting to know his area and position recruiter.

"Coach John Garrison is the coach recruiting me, I like how comfortable I am talking to him already and I like his coaching style," Megginson said.

The recruiting process has been an enjoyable one for Megginson, even though he is only just beginning it.

"Recruiting is starting to really pick back up," Megginson said. "And I can't wait to get back on the road after winter break."

He added, "I hope to visit Nebraska, Indiana, and Northern Illinois."

Plus, there are several other new schools that the four-star lineman has begun to hear from.

"Some of the newest schools I have heard from are Penn State, Iowa State, and Utah," Megginson said.

Even though he is getting a lot of college attention, a year ago Megginson never would have thought he would be in this position.

"It's just an honor seeing all this happen," Megginson said. "I've always wanted this and it's such a blessing that it is all happening."
