Demornay Pierson-El had some impressive film after his junior year at Alexandria (Va.) West Potomac. The 5-foot-9 and 180-pound athlete moved back to play quarterback this season and had a very successful year.
As a senior Pierson-El ran for 1,007 yards and 20 touchdowns and added 876 yards and another seven scores. Pierson-El figures to play on the offensive side of the ball, but could immediately figure into the special teams picture for the Huskers.
Watch the film for yourself though and you can see a Jamal Turner type of athlete that can do a little bit of everything. You can see Pierson-El in the wildcat, catching a pass in space, taking a handoff on an end-around or making a return on a punt or kick. Either way you slice it, Nebraska stole one by getting Pierson-El.
