Huskers offer Irons

Nebraska might take as many as six more players in the class of 2014. The Huskers recently offered this explosive play-maker from New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr and he plans on making a visit in January.

Nebraska is apparently still looking for more firepower on the offensive side of the football in the 2014 class. Glenn Irons from New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr picked up an offer from the Huskers just recently.

"I got the offer from Nebraska about a week ago," Irons said. "The coach told me that I was what they were looking for at receiver. They want me to play the slot position and they would move me around and put me at the H as well."

Both Coach Rich Fisher and Terry Joseph are recruiting Irons for Nebraska. The coaching duo are doing a bang up job with Irons explaining what they like him and the Huskers will get a visit in a couple of weeks.

"The coach said that they are looking for an explosive player and that they like my athleticism and my speed. They like me to work the field vertically and work in space. I am going to visit Nebraska on January 17th."

Nebraska commitment Jaevon Walton also attends Edna Karr. Walton is cousins with Nebraska tight end Cethan Carter and going to Nebraska with Walton has come up with Irons.

"I haven't really spoken with Jaevon about Nebraska. He told me that his cousin Cethan is there, and I know him too, and that it would be cool if there was someone else there that he knew."
