Semper Fi: OL Kammy Delp

Pomona (Calif.) Diamond Ranch offensive lineman Kammy Delp will have five hats on the table and plans to make his college choice this coming Sunday at the Semper Fi All-American game.

Kammy Delp is one of the region's top guard prospects but is also a talented defensive tackle. Among his five favorites, two stand out and they're recruiting him for different positions.

"My final five are UCLA, Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State," Delp said. "UCLA and ASU are my top two right now. UCLA is recruiting me for offense and ASU actually left it up to me to pick what side of the ball and I think I can play defense faster for them.

"With UCLA, it's close to home and I like the high tempo offense. I have a real good relationship with Coach Klemm (OL coach) as well. At ASU, I loved the atmosphere there on my visit. It's a very welcoming place for me and I think I fit in really well."

Although Delp plans to make a commitment at the game, that won't be the end of his recruitment.

"I still have visits with Oregon State (Jan. 17) and Washington (Jan. 31)," Delp said. "I've always wanted to take all my official visits so I want to follow through on that.

"I feel pretty confident in my decision though. I'm still breaking things down a little and I'm a little nervous to be honest but I'm excited as well. I'm going to talk things over with my parents one more time and then I'll be ready to get it done on Sunday at the game. "
