Commit reaction to Gator Bowl victory

It's going to be a "wait and see" approach to see how the Nebraska staff capitalizes on the Gator Bowl win over Georgia. It's clear that the victory was big in the eyes of the commitments already in the 2014 recruiting class.

The Gator Bowl win for Nebraska was big in a number of different ways. The team was getting back to as healthy as they could have been and won a game that many picked for them to lose. It's a positive headed into the spring.

But before the spring gets here there is a class that needs to be finalized. The commitments had some strong opinions about what they saw out of the Huskers when they beat Georgia and shared it with

Drew Brown: "I thought that they played a great game as a team in all three areas. They played for each other an won a tough game against a good opponent."

Terrell Clinkscales: "It was great, man. I told people that Coach Bo (Pelini) was going to pull out that ninth win. He prepared them well. I loved the way the defense played."

Byerson Cockrell: "I thought that the game went great the other day and that the offense executed well throughout the game as well as the defense. I was impressed."

Zack Darlington: "It's a big win and the senior class deserved it!"

D.J. Foster: "I wasn't able to watch the game because I am at the Semper Fidelis All-American game, but it was a big win for the program and for getting recruits."

Luke Gifford: "Huge win! They looked really good. Both the offense and the defense made big plays. The defense came through when we really needed them too. I can't wait for this summer and to get started!"

Josh Kalu: "It was a great game. The defense played great. The offense stepped up big. It was exactly what they needed to start the next year off right."

Joe Keels: "They played a great game. It's the team that I knew that they could be and they came to play."

Robert Lockhart: "It was a great win! I am excited to get there and showcase my talent."

Peyton Newell: "The defense has definitely improved this year and so has the offense. I thought that both sides of the ball played a complete game as well."

Demornay Pierson-El: "I thought that they showed a lot of pride and fought hard! They made big plays when needed and made some big stops on defense. I looked like they were having fun out there. There will be more to come in the future."

Lorenzo Stewart: "I was impressed with the defense the most. They had a lot of big stops and I was also very impressed by Tommy Armstrong."

From the defense to the offense to the future; the 2014 recruits have spoken and are excited about the current state of affairs in Lincoln and for things to come.
