Farmer's teammates speak

Four Under Armour All-American teammates talk about Illinois product Tanner Farmer and what they saw from him in practices.

Nebraska commitment Tanner Farmer was one of the standouts at Under Armour All-American week, surprising both analysts and teammates with his play. Big Red Report caught up with a few teammates who worked with the Illinois product in practice to get their thoughts.

DT.) Thomas Hollly (Penn State commit) – "He's a great opponent. He's very strong. He knows what he's doing and gets good leverage. He's been great for me to go against being that I'm new to the game. He plays the right way. He's making me better everyday. Going up against him is tough."

OT.) Casey Tucker (nation's No. 3 OT) – "I think he's a really good player. I think he's solid on the inside. He really opens up the holes and is consistent. That is probably the biggest thing. He's pretty quiet.

OG.) Ross Pierschbacher (Alabama commit) – "He's a great player and is really strong. He's a good technician. I think he's a smart kid. When it comes to strength, I think he's a head of a lot of people right now. He's got some good stories, that's for sure. He's quiet, but pretty funny."

DT.) O.J. Smith (Alabama commit) – "He's pretty good. He's solid in both pass rush and run blocking. I would say he's the overall player. He's a tough opponent."
