Visit date change for Irons

Nebraska has three official visit weekends before signing day and they are going to be important weekends. The Huskers could add as many as seven players in the class by some accounts and this recruit is making a change regarding his official visit to Nebraska.

Glenn Irons from New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr picked up a Nebraska offer a few weeks ago. He set up a visit to see Lincoln last week, but recently had to change his visit date which will now coincide with his teammate, who committed to Nebraska last week, Jariah Tolbert.

"Yes sir I changed my visit date to Nebraska," Irons said. "It doesn't really have to do anything with when Jariah was going.

"I had to change because there was a conflict when my mom could go. She couldn't go on the 17th so we set it up for the 24th."

Tolbert and Irons are friends and it worked out in the end that the two would take official visits to Nebraska on the same weekend. The two have talked about Tolbert committing to Nebraska since he committed.

"It's the same weekend that Jariah is going and I had no idea that he was going to commit to Nebraska before he visited. We are cool and we have talked about his commitment, me joining the class and the visit."

Tolbert and Irons have another team mate that is a future Husker. Jaevon Walton, a linebacker, has talked with both Tolbert and Irons about joining him up in Lincoln after high school.

"Jaevon is excited that there are two high school teammates that could be joining him up there in Lincoln. He has talked to me about Nebraska and what to expect on the visit."

Irons was an all-district selection and honorable mention all-state as a senior.
