First Offer for Lark

Scout.com has an update on Bellaire wide receiver Courtney Lark from Houston, Texas, who has just gotten good news. It seems as though this week could be the start of something pretty big…

It was a pretty solid year for Houston (Tex.) Bellaire wide receiver Courtney Lark. Not only was he one of the team's top receivers, but he is a player who his high school coach raved about as the team went into postseason play.

Now it appears that college coaches have noticed as well. Lark pulled in his first offer earlier this week.

"Courtney Lark picked up his first offer from SMU," a member of the Bellaire coaching staff informed Scout.com.

All it usually takes is the first one in to get the ball rolling in today's aggressive recruiting process. Now, 6-foot-2, 175-pound Lark goes into the off season with some momentum.

As stated, Lark has been a player who was productive most of the season. By the numbers, he finished with 46 catches for 649 yards and eight touchdowns. Not bad for a first-year varsity guy who's a sophomore.

It was also reported that Lark was getting "serious" looks from Nebraska, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State.
