Holtorf checks out Lincoln

One of the top in-state players was in Lincoln today. Adam Holtorf made the short trip from Seward (Nebr.) to Lincoln to see what the Huskers had to offer.

Adam Holtorf had to skip junior day at Nebraska on February 1 because of basketball. They are already plans to get back to Lincoln for the spring game and likely Big Red Weekend, but he didn't want to wait that long.

The talented 6-foot-5 and 265-pound offensive lineman or defensive lineman from Seward (Nebr.) made the quick trip over to Lincoln this afternoon. Many think that Holtorf might be the next in-state player to get a Nebraska offer possibly.

"No, I didn't get an offer," Holtorf said. "I did get to talk to the strength and conditioning coach, Coach Dobson, and he was a real nice guy to meet. You could tell that he had passion for what he did.

"It was impressive to speak with Dennis LeBlanc and the rest of the Life Skills people and see all of the opportunities they provide. They do a lot for the student athletes. I also really enjoyed talking with Mark Mayer who is the head trainer at Nebraska."

Holtorf also got a chance to catch up with some of the Nebraska coaching staff. "I got to talk with Coach Barney Cotton and Coach John Garrison as well. They all had really positive things to tell me about the program and about me too."
