Visit to Nebraska is still a go, for now

Big recruiting news this weekend possibly in Lincoln. The Huskers for the second time in a month will host both Carlos and Khalil Davis from Blue Springs (Mo.).

Carlos Davis and Khalil Davis of Blue Springs (Mo.) were in Lincoln just four weeks ago. The talented pair of twins visited Nebraska for their junior day on February 1 and will be back this Saturday if everything goes to plan.

"We are still planning on it as of right now," their mother Tracy reported. "There is a front that is supposed to come through, but we were planning on getting there about 12:00 on Saturday."

This trip will be about academics first and foremost. There will be some meetings with some of the academic faculty and then later in the afternoon they will attend the Nebraska basketball game.

"One of the big things that we wanted to do on this trip was meet with the academic people. After that we are going to go to the basketball game. This was the last chance for us to come for a game since their last game is on a Sunday and we wouldn't want to do that."

The weather could play a big role in the visit tomorrow. There is a strong desire to make it up for that last, possible basketball game on the Nebraska schedule.

"We are keeping an eye on it. It might take us a little longer to get there tomorrow that it usually does. We do want to make it up there this weekend though."

Carlos Davis is rated the No. 14 defensive tackle as well as a four-star recruit in the class of 2015. Khalil is right behind being rated the No. 29 defensive tackle in the nation and a three-star recruit. Their uncle, Lorenzo Hicks, played for the Huskers.
