Gallegos set for senior night

After almost calling it quits at Nebraska, Ray Gallegos celebrates senior night on Sunday when Nebraska takes on No. 9 Wisconsin.

LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska's matchup with No. 9 Wisconsin on Sunday will not only serve as the Huskers' likely play-in game to the NCAA tournament, but also as senior day in Lincoln.

The Huskers will honor Ray Gallegos and Mike Peltz with a pre-game ceremony before the game.

"Ray (Gallegos) has been through it. Last, last, tenth, to see him finish knowing we have at least some postseason, it's pretty cool," said Nebraska head coach Tim Miles. "That's a nice building block and something he can be proud of forever."

After averaging 12.5 points per game and over 37 minutes a contest in 2012-13, the Utah native's points and minutes are down this season with a stronger roster of talent around him.

"Here is a guy who went from playing the most minutes in the Big Ten last year to excepting whatever role we put him in," said Miles. "I just can't say enough about Ray."
