LINCOLN, Neb. - The Nebraska football team held their first 2014 spring practice of the year on Saturday, working in shoulder pads and helmets for just over two hours.

"I just told the team I thought it was a good start to the spring. That was what it was, it was a start," Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini said. "I liked the tempo and enthusiasm, and obviously different guys are at different levels right now as far as their knowledge and that type of thing. I thought it was a good start to the practice, and we will get better from here."
