Corcoran to visit Nebraska

Nebraska will get a chance to host Josh Corcoran for the third time next week. The standout linebacker from Lakeville (Minn.) South is excited to check out a Huskers practice.

Josh Corcoran from Lakeville (Minn.) South is extending his spring break a day and taking a trip to Nebraska. The 6-foot-3 and 225-pound linebacker wants to see how things work behind the scenes.

"I am going to visit Nebraska on Monday, March 17th," Corcoran said. "I am looking forward to seeing how they run their practices after seeing a couple of games there. I want to see their drills and how they operate. I think that is important."

This will be a third trip to Lincoln for the three-star linebacker. He says that he's had some consistent conversation with the recruiting coach for his area, but he doesn't have an understanding about where he's at on Nebraska's list.

"I am not sure where I fall at on their list of linebackers actually. I talk with Coach Barney Cotton a lot over Facebook and in the future I think that I will ask where I am at on their board."

When you see Corcoran on film you might have to think a little out of the box. He plays middle linebacker, but with his size and athleticism he could be a hand in the dirt situational player as well as maybe an outside linebacker.

"Some schools like me as a defensive end/outside linebacker. It's definitely a possibility because of my size and my speed. I had to do some pass rush drills in a camp and won two out of three. I think that it's something I am interested in talking to my coach about doing next season."

This will be Corcoran's fourth trip of the spring and he has a fifth one scheduled.

"I was just at a spring practice for Minnesota," Corcoran said. "I was at the junior day before that and I have been to junior day at South Dakota State. I am also going to junior day at Iowa State on March 29th."
