Ofodile visiting Nebraska

Nebraska is using spring practices as a great reason to attract some of the nation's top recruits to Lincoln for a visit. This Friday the Huskers will host 4-star wide receiver Alex Ofodile from Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge.

Alex Ofodile from Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge has some busy weeks ahead checking out schools. This coming weekend the 6-foot-3 and 190-pound wide receiver will take a visit to see Nebraska.

"I will be in Lincoln on Friday," Ofodile said. "I will be getting to town around 11:00 and they have practice later that day so I will leave after practice is over with."

The chance to see a team practice is a little bit of life behind the curtain. Ofodile wants to see how Nebraska conducts their practices and also wants to see the wide receivers that Nebraska has currently.

"I am just looking forward to seeing what the practice environment is like and how they run their practices. I also want to get a look at their wide receivers on the team currently."

The 4-star recruit says that some teams like him either on the inside or the outside when it comes to playing wide receiver. Some others like him at both. He plans on having the conversation with Nebraska this week to see how he fits in their offense.

"Some teams see me as doing one or the other and other teams think that I can do both. I don't really have a preference. I don't know where Nebraska sees me and that is one of the things that I plan on talking with them about."

The No. 8 nationally rated wide receiver says that he's heard a lot about Nebraska. He knows that they have great facilities and he is excited to see them. But, he says that the Nebraska staff has been doing an incredible job recruiting him and he wants to get to meet them on this visit.

"I have heard a lot about the facilities at Nebraska," Odofile said. "I have never seen them before or seen any pictures like that. I have just heard that they are really big and nice.

"I am also really looking forward to meeting the Nebraska coaching staff. Coach Rich Fisher and Coach John Garrison have both been recruiting me so well and they definitely have let me know how bad they want me on their team."

Ofodile has taken previous visits to Memphis, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Tennessee. He is also planning on taking visits to Iowa on March 28th, Oklahoma on April 3rd, Notre Dame on April 12th, Michigan State on April 26th, North Carolina on May 10th, Clemson on May 11th, Ohio State on June 1st and Penn State on June 6th.
