Gaylord getting ready for SR year

Nebraska commitment Christian Gaylord can't believe that his senior season is around the corner. The Nebraska commitment is solid to the Huskers, but the offers have continued to find their way to the talented offensive lineman.

Christian Gaylord from Baldwin City (Kans.) has got his senior year on his mind. The 6-foot-6 and 270-pound offensive tackle has track season first competing in two field events.

"I'm working out this spring and focusing on getting stronger for next year," Gaylord said. "I am also doing track. I throw shot put and discus."

Gaylord's senior year is just months which surprises and fires up the three-star offensive lineman all at the same time. It will be a young team this year for Baldwin High School, but they are also very talented.

"I can't believe that it's almost here; wow the time has flown by. I can't wait to be back on the field again. The team will be young, but we're going to make some noise this season. I can't wait."

"It's an honor to get more offers from other schools, but it's Nebraska. I've grown up as a fan of the Huskers and so has my family. It's great that I have other offers, but Nebraska is the place where I want to be."

The Huskers received a commitment from Gaylord shortly after their junior day in early February. Since then he's been back up to Lincoln and is planning on getting back for the annual spring game.

"I went up to a spring practice in Lincoln about two weeks ago and also to a basketball game the day that Carlos Davis and Khalil Davis committed. I am going back to Lincoln for the spring game."

Kendall Bussey told that he had been texting with Gaylord and other future Huskers already. Gaylord has been talking to other recruits to try and get them to join them in the recruiting class.

"The chemistry that the class has is great. We tweet each other up and text each other to talk about when were going to Nebraska again. I'm talking to A.J. Harris and Scott Frantz about going to Nebraska."
