"Our spring ball starts the last week of April," Durham said. "I played basketball this year and I am working out getting ready to play football."
Durham is rated as a linebacker. He will actually be playing with his hand in the dirt as a senior. He's not unfamiliar with that having played defensive end as a sophomore.
"As a linebacker, I wanted to work on stopping the run and filling the gap. As a defensive lineman I am not going to really change a thing. I have played defensive line before as a sophomore."
Durham has been on the road this spring to see some schools. He is heading across the metroplex to check out a school for a second time this weekend. there is another visit set up after that with another school he plans to see this summer.
There are four schools that are standing out to Durham at the moment. He says that he's looking at the education that he will receive as well as the conference that they play in and staying close to home is key too.
"Texas A&M, TCU, Nebraska and Arizona State are all schools that are standing out to me right now," Durham said. "I have 11 total offers right now. I am looking at the conference that I will play in, the academics and it would also be nice to stay home."
Plano East is annually a very tough football team. Durham says that there was some turnover from last year to this year and this spring will be about getting those younger guys up to speed quickly.
"We lost a lot of seniors and we have a lot of new, younger players this year. We should be alright and we can have a good season. Our quarterback is coming back and we have good experience returning on the defensive line and linebackers."
