Davis considering visiting Nebraska

Nebraska landed their signal caller in the class of 2015 this past weekend and now there is a need to put some weapons around him. Ryan Davis from St. Petersburg (Flor.) Lakewood is an explosive athlete that could be a great compliment in the class.

Ryan Davis from St. Petersburg (Flor.) Lakewood will play quarterback in high school and will likely play wide receiver in college. The 5-foot-11 and 160-pound Davis has had a lot of communication with Nebraska recently and is considering a visit there this summer.

"I got the spring game sprung on me a little late," Davis said. "I just found out about it and it's next weekend. I am most definitely looking at visiting for Big Red Weekend in June."

Nebraska has persistent with their chase of Davis. The Nebraska staff has given Davis some high praise over the phone telling them how they see the talented receiver in their offense.

"I have been talking with Coach Rich Fisher and the offensive coordinator, Tim Beck. Coach Bo Pelini has been sending me some handwritten mail.

"Nebraska really likes my play making ability and explosiveness. They think that I can come to the Big Ten and take over a ballgame in their offense."

Nebraska is getting some consideration from Davis for a summer trip. He says that he is considering visiting a lot of schools and plans on taking a lot of visits this summer.

"I am thinking about going to the spring game at Miami. I am also considering taking visits to UCF, Florida State, Kentucky, Ole Miss and some other schools. I am planning on a busy summer to take visits."
