"I am doing track and working out this spring," Perry said. "I do discus and shot put. I am building strength through my workouts. We have some new workouts with new technology."
Perry didn't set out to get better on one particular this this off-season. He actually wanted to get better at everything all the way from his physical strength to flexibility.
"I just wanted to get a little better at everything. I wanted to work on a better punch, better technique, better flexibility and of course strength and speed."
"I tell people that I don't have a preference where I play at the next level," Perry said. "I will play either offensive line or defensive line. I think that I have strengths playing both.
"As an offensive lineman I am a quick thinker and I have good feet. As a defensive lineman, I would say it's my get off and physicality. It's about breaking their will."
There are two offers on the table for Perry. There is ongoing conversation between Perry and some other teams including a number of Ivy League schools.
Perry will be in Lincoln this weekend for the spring game. He will be there with a former high school team mate that will be moving on to Nebraska in just a couple short months.
"I am going to the Nebraska red-White spring game. I am going out there with Nick Gates, but on different flights. We are good friends. He's told me it's a lot of fun there and I want to see if for myself. He always tells me 'Go Big Red!'."
