SDSU Offers' Zona Pair

Mt. Pointe's Paul Lucas and Gilbert's Steve Miller add to offer sheet

San Diego State has recruited the state of Arizona heavily and the Aztecs are trying to make their mark in the Grand Canyon State in 2014.

SDSU offered Scottsdale Saguaro star Christian Kirk a few days ago and Scout.com has confirmed that two more players from the Valley of the Sun received offers on Friday.

Gilbert (Az.) High School offensive tackle Steve Miller received his third offer when the Aztecs came calling Friday.

Miller says, "I talked to Coach Lewis and he offered me a scholarship and then asked about camps and I told him that I will be there this summer with my team so I will get a tour of campus then.."

Arizona State and BYU have also offered Miller.

Miller (6-5 290) was named 2nd team all-section last year playing left tackle for the Tigers.

Scout.com has confirmed that RB Paul Lucas from Phoenix (Az.) Mountain Pointe has received a new scholarship offer, number eight for him.

Mt. Pointe HC Norris Vaughan confirmed that San Diego State offered Lucas.

Lucas (5-11 175) also has offers from Notre DameNebraska, Arizona, Washington, Utah, Arizona State and Oregon State.

Lucas just helped his team to an undefeated season and a D1 state title. He rushed for 847 yards and 11 TDs.

Lucas is also one of the nation's premier sprinters. He won the Arizona state title as a sophomore with a time of 10.44.
