"There has been a lot of interest in Calvin," Head Coach Larry Martin said. "Wisconsin is coming in to see him today in fact. We know what the issues are and Calvin is hard at work."
"Calvin has to work on his speed and we as coaches have to do a better job to take care of him because he had a lot of carries last year. He had a lot of carries early in the season and that was a part of our environment.
"He also has to get to work on the grades, I think that the core is good actually, and he's taken the ACT recently and he felt good about it. He just needs to continue to work hard both on and off the field."
While these colleges come through to evaluate the players there is some evaluating taking place on Strong's side too. Coach Martin said that there is definitely a need to figure out what each team is thinking about Strong when it comes to future visits.
"As we see where he's at on these schools' boards we will come up with a plan. We will make a plan about where to go and take trips and check out the schools where there is interest."
There was definitely some excitement about the Badgers stopping by to see Strong, but after that it was a wait and see approach. There is at least one other school set to visit this week and Coach Martin has fielded a number of other calls about his standout running back.
"It's really too early to say. I know that there is Wisconsin today and Wyoming will be here on Friday. I have talked with Tulsa, Minnesota and Northern Iowa about him. He's a really good kid and I know that he really just wants to go and do well."
