Tears remaining focused

The 10th commitment for Nebraska sees the Huskers as the complete package -- will to win, pursuit of greatness with an emphasis on academics. Spencer Tears breaks down his commitment and how he plans to deal with recruiting attention from other schools.

It wasn't a huge surprise when Spencer Tears committed shortly after taking a visit to Nebraska. It was clear that he really enjoyed the visit, but what was it about Nebraska that makes it right for him?

"It was just the atmosphere there are Nebraska," Tears said. "It was the atmosphere and the will to win. They're also very serious about their academics."

"Smooth athlete who changes directions well and can stop and start." - Allen Trieu, Scout.com

If anything, Nebraska might have caught a player in Tears that will only continue to grow in popularity. When asked about how Tears might deal with increasing attention from other schools he replied, "I am just focused on Nebraska."

Watch Tears on film and you will see a player that gets involved many different ways. He does returns, outside and inside receiver, end around and even wildcat.

"Nebraska said that they I'm most definitely going to be playing inside and outside receiver. Another coach mentioned that they would like to see me returning kicks too."

Richards (Ill.) wide receiver Tears became the 10th known commitment in the class for Nebraska. The Huskers are currently No. 9 in the Scout.com team rankings and second in the Big Ten conference behind Ohio State.
