Jean-Baptiste drafted No. 58 overall

Stanley Jean-Baptiste came to Nebraska to be a wide receiver from Fort Scott (Kans.) C.C. by way of Miami (Flor.) Central. He's now onto the NFL drafted in the second round by the New Orleans Saints.

At 6-foot-2.5 and nearly 220-pound Stanley Jean-Baptiste has that body that NFL coaches see going against the big-bodied NFL receivers. The length of Jean-Baptiste makes him look more like a safety than a corner.

Jean-Baptiste has amazing athleticism though too. At the scouting combine Jean-Baptiste recorded a 41 and 1/2-inch vertical jump which was best among all defensive backs and third in the entire combine. Combine that vertical with a broad jump of 10'-3" as third among all defensive backs.

At pro day in Lincoln Jean-Baptiste ripped off a 4.45-second/40-yard dash as well as a 1.55-second 10-yard dash as well as a 6.69-second three-cone drill time.

Jean-Stanley went No. 58 overall, 26th pick in the second round, joining Brandin Cooks, wide receiver from Oregon State, who the Saints traded up to take in the first round.
