Nebraska commitment Kendall Bussey has been linked to other rumors about taking visits. The No. 49 running back in the nation has said before he wouldn't take visits. Bussey was in North Texas last weekend though and might have visited a school while in town.
"I did," Bussey answered when asked about visiting TCU. "The campus is nice there. We informed the coaches there that we were in town and did a little tour."
The school itself wasn't enough to bring Bussey and his family to the Dallas area from New Orleans. There are a number of people that they were in town to catch up with. The proximity to TCU made the visit convenient this past weekend.
"We actually have family, long-time friends and old track coaches that live in that area. One is just five minutes from the campus."
Some Nebraska fans are concerned that the Huskers won't be able to keep Bussey committed. When Bussey was asked if Nebraska fans had anything to worry about with this visit to TCU he replied, "Uh, no."
Bussey had a busy spring doubling up running track and going through spring practices. Bussey had some impressive track times and made it to state. The early indication to Bussey is that this coming year's football team will have a lot of firepower."We are finished now with track and with spring football. I went to the state track meet and finished 4th. It wasn't my best meet and it was rainy conditions for the meet.
"We had a good spring. I think that it's going to be a lot like last year. We are going to be explosive offensively. We need to work on the little things and continue to improve."
Big Red Weekend is just a few weeks away and Bussey has been to Lincoln for junior day and their spring game. He is looking into visiting again for Big Red Weekend, but is uncertain if he can make it.
"I am not sure on that yet. I need to find out from my father if he's available to go to Big Red Weekend. If we do go we will be there for the weekend of the 14th."
