Olathe (Kans.) North tight end Josh Moore is a name you might expect to hear will visit Nebraska for Big Red Weekend. Moore definitely wants to get to Nebraska, but the three-star recruit has other team activities in the coming weekends.
"I am not sure," Moore said. "We have some team things going on like camps, workouts and 7-on-7. I am definitely going to get up to Nebraska for a game this fall though."
The Huskers entered the picture for the No. 17 tight end in the nation just a couple of short weeks ago. Moore said that he has spoken to most of the Nebraska staff over the evaluation period.
"I got the offer from Nebraska two weeks ago. I have spoken with a lot of the coaches, different coaches from Nebraska came to see me during the evaluation period, but mostly it was Barney Cotton."
Moore has been to Nebraska before so he has some idea what to expect. The standout tight end was an unofficial visitor for an out of conference game and said that he came away very impressed with the fans in Lincoln.
"I visited Nebraska last fall for the UCLA game," Moore said. "I really liked their fans. I was really impressed with that and their sellout streak. Their fans were crazy. They get 90,000 fans there every game."
The Huskers have definitely tried to get more dynamic at the tight end position over the last couple of years. Moore could be another step in that direction to getting some play-makers at the position.
"I like to flex out and catch a lot of balls. I can also play tight next to the tackle and block. I can do it all from the tight end position."
